Il n'existe que peu de portraits de ce genre peints à la même époque dont: - celui de Paul ELUARD conservé au Musée Paul Eluard à Saint-Denis dont l'écrivain dira de lui en le découvrant: «il n'y avait dans cette galerie qu'un seul portrait mais il était rayonnant de ressemblance» - celui de Nadia Léger la fille du peintre, dont nous vendrons une partie de sa correspondance avec Frank ELGAR. «Portrait of Marguerite Lesbats», 1949 Oil on canvas Signed F.
