With a large inset map of the St. Lawrence River. (Some light browing and staining, a few short tears, mostly marginal.) Provenance Thomas W. Streeter, (his sale part VI, Park Bernet, 23 April 1969, lot 3774.) An important French and Indian War map. "This map is based on that of Mitchell, which appeared earlier in the same year [the] inclusion of the St. Lawrence River inset ( Le Fleuve Saint-Laurent represente plus en detail... ) and some increased detail from French sources of information, show diffrences from the Mitchell 1755" (Cumming 296); Kershaw, 353.
