These leaves are from copies of Mansur ibn Muhammad ibn Yusuf ibn Ilyas' most influencial work, Tashrih'i Badan'i Insan (commonly known as Tashrih-e Mansuri), a medical treatise on the anatomy of the human body. The text was first compiled in late fourteenth-century Timurid Persia and became known for its intricate diagrams and drawings of the human form, depicting muscular, osseous, nervous and arterial systems as well as details of individual bodily organs.
