René Lalique Double door Lubin1926 glass with engraved decorationA glass panel redone identically by La maison Lalique in 2015Steel frame 248 x 148 cm ; 97 ⅝ x 58¼ in. ------------------------------------------- René Lalique Double porte Lubin1926 Dalle de verre à décor gravéUn panneau en verre refait à l’identique par la maison Lalique en 2015Encadrement en acier 248 x 148 cm ; 97 ⅝ x 58¼ in.Condition reportThese doors are part of an exceptional set ordered in 1925-1926 by a Parisian collector directly from René Lalique and remained in the same family until today.It is exceptional to find such a set at auction.Very good overall condition. As mentioned in the cataloguing of this lot, a glass panel has been replaced by the Maison Lalique at a later stage has a slightly different glass color (more white). The metal presents with some rust stains and some oxidation marks throughout, as well as some surfaces scratches, liquid residue and instances of wear to the varnish in a few areas. Two fixation holes are visible on the upper part. Le panneau d’origine est conservé au Musée Lalique à Wingen-sur-Moder.
