(Light spotting in vol. V). Contemporary half sheep, spines gilt, yellow edges (a little worn and chipped). Provenance : Otton von Feilitzen (inscription on flyleaf -- M. Höjer? (inscribed on pastedown vol. I) -- Tidö Bibliotek (bookplate of the von Schinkel period of ownership). Tidö Castle was owned by the Oxenstiernas from 1609-1759 and thereafter by the von Schinkel family. OXENSTJERNA, Johan Gabriel. Äreminne öfver Konung Gustaf III . Stockholm: J.C. Holmberg, 1794. 4° (228 x 189mm). Engraved vignette by Johan Frederik Martin (1755-1816). (Marginal dampstaining, spotted.) Later half sheep (extremities rubbed, stitching holes from earlier binding visible). Provenance : inscription dated 1824 on pastedown -- Swen Wawrinsky (booklabel, inscribed on title, stamp on endleaf); and another. Oxenstierna was an aristocratic poet, official, diplomat and member of the Swedish Academy from 1786. He was particulary influential in introducing rural, nature-observing and sentimental themes into Swedish poetry. (7)
