Cook, Captain James, and John Hawkesworth A COMPLETE SET OF FIRST EDITIONS OF COOK'S VOYAGES, BOUND IN 8 TEXT VOLUMES AND WITH 3 ATLASES, COMPRISING: An Account of the Voyages... for making discoveries in the Southern Hemisphere, and successively performed by Commodore Byron, Captain Wallis, Captain Carteret and Captain Cook, in the Dolphin, the Swallow, and the Endeavour. London: Printed for W. Strahan and T. Cadell, 1773, FIRST EDITION, 3 volumes text and atlas, together 4 volumes, 52 engraved plates and maps in atlas, text in contemporary calf, [Beddie, BCJC 648; Hill (2004) 782; Sabin 30934], the first 2 maps wormed affecting image, a few others with slight marginal worming, atlas disbound A Voyage towards the South Pole, and round the world. London: Printed for W. Strahan and T. Cadell, 1777, FIRST EDITION, 2 volumes text and atlas, together 3 volumes, engraved portrait and 63 plates (all bound in atlas, and therefore, apart from 3 maps, THE PLATES ARE UNFOLDED), folding table in volume 2, text in contemporary diced calf, atlas nineteenth-century half calf, [Beddie, BCJC 1216; Hill (2004) 358; Sabin 16245], plate 59 (The landing at Tanna) cropped at left edge (another copy of the plate is loosely inserted), slight worming in margins of last few plates A Voyage to the Pacific Ocean... for making Discoveries in the Northern Hemisphere.
