This ad is of particularly note as it includes a listing of 24 different versions of carey's quarto bible , on 3 different grades of paper and ranging in price from $3.50 to $12 (the most expensive being the fourth edition with “30 first-rate maps and plates, and with Psalms…bound in red leather”). This listing corresponds to an 1807 Carey catalogue that similarly describes each by number to aid in ordering. Some copies of Carey's quarto Bible have been found to have this number stamped in gilt on the front turn in.
