Highlights include a ninth plate tintype of a lovely young woman housed in a floral union case [Berg 2-104] with velvet pad marked for Anson; a ninth plate tintype of a baby girl standing on a chair housed in a Very Rare geometric union case [3-422G]; and a sixteenth plate daguerreotype of a baby housed in a figural union case, The Sleeping Friar 1 [1-175], fully separated at spine. Provenance:Marvin Lieber Collection of Early Photographica Condition: Two cases broken/fully separated at spine: figural sixteenth plate example and geometric ninth plate example (this case with additional damage and chipping, including a large chunk broken off of spine).
