A well engineered late 19th Century model twin cylinder vertical reversing marine engine and propeller, the valve chest cover plate engraved 'R.Turner 1881' . Measurements overall - 12½ x 13 1/3in. (31.8 x 33.3cm.) With brass bound mahogany lagged brass cylinders 1in. bore x 1¾in. stroke, cylinder head lubricators, trunk type crosshead guides, lever and quadrant operated Stephenson's link reverse, counterbalanced crankshaft, cast bed and frames, shaft coupling, shaft with bearing and shaped three blade bronze propeller. Finished in green with red lining and polished or plated brightwork. Mahogany mount; and two Sissons brochures. Tools See illustration NOTE: The unusual propeller blade shape was designed to cut through weed.
