1970 Maserati Mexico 4.2 L Titre de circulation autrichien Châssis n° AM 112 900 Moteur n° 107 900 - Présentation de bon aloi - Belle GT méconnue - Finition luxueuse Livrée neuve le 20 octobre 1970 à Rome chez un certain Gian Luca Santucci, cette voiture a été vendue en décembre 2003 à un amateur autrichien par l'intermédiaire de Winfred van Dijk "Klassiche Automobilien". L'actuel propriétaire en a fait l'acquisition en 2012, via Car Collection Wittner en Autriche. On retrouve la trace de cette voiture sur le très documenté Mexico Registry. Notre exemplaire est équipé d'un moteur V8 4,2 litres de 260 ch associé à l'excellente boîte manuelle ZF à cinq rapports. Il s'agit d'une des premières Série 2, reconnaissable à ses jantes fils Borrani à serrage central et à ses poignets de portes identiques à la Maserati Indy. C'est au niveau de l'aménagement intérieur que les changements sont les plus importants avec des modifications sur l'ensemble des compteurs, la montre, les ouies de ventilation, de nouvelles contre-portes et un nouveau dessin de sièges. Elle se présente dans sa couleur d'origine Giorgio Titano avec un bel intérieur en cuir beige clair, refait il y a quelques années. Affichant un peu moins de 50 000 km, elle présente un moteur agréable et mélodieux, avec un comportement routier correspondant à son âge, un freinage sûr grâce à quatre disques Girling assistés et une direction assistée (qui était en option). Sur 482 exemplaires au total, 305 Mexico étaient équipés du moteur 4,2 litres. C'est donc une voiture rare, une vraie GT qui sait mêler confort, performances et raffinement.
