The TR4 also improved passenger comfort with wind-up windows, face-level ventilation and an optional hardtop. The 2138cc engine of the late-production TR3A continued while the 1991cc engine was also made available to buyers who wanted to participate in two litre racing. When equipped with the optional overdrive, the TR4 was good for a top speed of almost 110mph. Today, the four-cylinder TR's are among the easiest of post-war classic sports cars to own and maintain being supported by a multitude of component suppliers and other specialists. This TR4 was one of the many exported to the US and was repatriated to the UK in 1979. The Triumph was, at some stage, converted to righthand drive, clearly she has benefitted from time and investment as this example presents in good order. The red coachwork is in good order as is the black interior. The seats in the car are non-standard however the original seats are available and will be supplied with the car. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 31st July 2020 together with a small number of invoices; these quintessentially British sports cars are very stylish and are great fun to drive.
