The TR4 also improved passenger comfort with wind-up windows, face-level ventilation and an optional hardtop. The 2138cc engine of the late-production TR3A continued while the 1991cc engine was also made available to buyers who wanted to participate in two-litre racing. When equipped with the optional overdrive, the TR4 was good for a top speed of almost 110mph. Today, the four-cylinder TR's are among the easiest of post-war classic sports cars to own and maintain being supported by a multitude of component suppliers and other specialists. This delightful Triumph has had a significant amount of time and financial investment carried out on her in recent months by the current vendor. The engine has been rebuilt with new liners and pistons increasing the cubic capacity to 2290cc, the cylinder head has also been converted to run on unleaded fuel.
