1960 Porsche 356B 1600S Roadster Carte grise française Châssis n° 88606 - Parmi les 356 les plus désirables - Moteur en configuration Super 90 - Restaurée et entretenue pour rouler C'est au milieu du millésime 58 que s'arrête la production de la Porsche 356 Speedster, au profit du Convertible D, qui présentait certains aménagements bienvenus, tels que les vitres descendantes, ou encore une habitabilité améliorée une fois l'habitacle capoté. Avec l'apparition de la 356B pour le millésime 60, cette version toujours carrossée par Drauz, prenait la dénomination de Roadster, disponible avec un choix de 3 motorisations : 60, 70 (puis 75) ou 90cv. L'exemplaire que nous présentons est sorti d'usine le 21 octobre 1960, ainsi que le confirme son certificat d'authenticité Porsche. Il disposait de la mécanique de 75cv, d'une carrosserie de teinte gris métal assortie d'un habitacle en skaï rouge. Au titre des options étaient mentionnées des sièges inclinables et un cendrier. Délivré neuf aux Etats Unis, cet exemplaire a été déniché en 2017 au Texas par son actuel propriétaire. Ce roadster a bénéficié d'une restauration complète en 1999, ainsi qu'en témoigne un dossier de factures. A cette occasion, un moteur en configuration Super 90 (90cv) a été monté. La voiture a depuis été régulièrement utilisée jusqu'à cet été, s'avérant très agréable à conduire. Bien que la carrosserie soit très saine et les ouvrants bien alignés, l'actuel propriétaire a décidé de confier la voiture à Lady Art Car, afin que les petits éclats de gravillons et défauts mineurs soient corrigés avant la vente. L'étanchéité de la capote a été revue à l'occasion et un contrôle de principe de l'allumage et de la carburation effectué. Nous sommes donc en présence d'une version de 356 parmi les plus désirables, restaurée et entretenue pour rouler. With the introduction of the 356B in 1960 and the bodywork made by Drauz, this version was to be called Roadster and was to be made available with three types of engines: 60, 70 (then 75) or 90hp. This specific car left the factory on 21st October 1960, as stated on its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. It has a 75hp engine, a metallic grey bodywork combined with a red faux leather interior. Regarding the options, reclining seats and an ashtray were specified. This example was delivered new in the United States and was uncovered in Texas by its current owner in 2017. As evidenced by a file of invoices, this roadster benefited from a full restoration in 1999. During the work, an engine with Super 90 specifications (90hp) was fitted. The car has since been used regularly until this summer and is proving to be a very pleasant drive. Although the bodywork is in sound condition and all openings well aligned, the current owner decided to entrust the car to Lady Art Car before the sale in order to correct small gravel chippings and minor defects. The sealing of the soft top has also been re-examined in this instance, along with a standard check of the ignition and carburetor. To conclude, this is one of the most desirable 356 versions to date, restored and serviced for the road.
