Description For 1959, Porsche introduced the 356B variant. Styling updates improved the look of the car while retaining an unmistakably Porsche character. In standard tune, the 1,582cc engine generated 60 hp while the 1600S was good for 75hp and predictably, the Super 90 was rated at 90hp. These engines were available in four body styles: coupe, hardtop coupe, cabriolet and roadster. This 1960 Porsche 356”B” T5 1600 Super Cabriolet right hand drive was sold new by Norman .A .Hamilton, Richmond, Australian factory Porsche distributor, leaving the Reutter factory in January 1960. This car has been well maintained by the previous owner and has benefited from almost all its life in the Australian sunshine. Finished in Silver Grey metallic over Tan houndstooth leatherette and chocolate square weave carpets it carries a wonderful patina, and is in good condition. The black canvas hood has recently been refreshed and in excellent condition, fitting well and as it should.
