Beschreibung:

The 1960 Corvette was little changed from the 1959 model, but sales increased to 10,261. It was the last model to have the taillights formed into the fender and carry the heavy toothy grille. Base engine was the 283 cubic-inch, 230 horsepower V8 and for the first time fuel injected engine were only available with 4-speeds. Two aluminum head fuel injected engines were planned, offering 275 hp and 315hp but casting problems meant that none were delivered to customers. This car was bought by the Lewis collection as a project from Albany, Oregon in 1992, having previously been in Longview, Washington. It’s one of 572 Corvettes sold in Honduras Maroon with white coves in 1960 and was the subject of a lengthy restoration some years ago. The paint remains acceptable, the chrome is excellent, the black vinyl interior decent, though the carpet is very faded. There is an aftermarket stereo and the top in white vinyl. There is a large file detailing the restoration. Under the hood is the base 230-horsepower V8 and there is a Powerglide automatic transmission. The engine compartment is not typical and the car does not have power steering or power brakes. The odometer shows 06,308 miles, which is quite likely the distance covered since restoration. Without reserve
