1954 Jaguar XK120 roadster Carte grise française Châssis n° S675377 - Très agréable à conduire - Belle remise en état - Présentation de qualité La Jaguar XK 120 défraye la chronique en se présentant à l'occasion du London Motor Show de 1948. Elégante, racée, performante, l'auto attire les regards et... les bons de commande! Sorti d'usine en avril 1954 et exporté aux USA, ce roadster XK120 est accompagné de son certificat Jaguar Heritage. C'est début des années 90 que son actuel propriétaire en fait l'acquisition en Angleterre alors qu'elle nécessite d'importants travaux. Elle sera confiée en 1994 à un atelier de restauration qui se chargera de sa remise en état complète, incluant la mécanique et dont le détail des travaux figure au dossier. Moins de 2000 miles ont été parcourus depuis. A cette occasion, la carrosserie sera refaite en aluminium (à l'exception des portes) afin de gagner du poids. Les sièges ont été remplacés pour un meilleur maintien et plus récemment, le refroidissement a été amélioré grâce à l'ajout d'un vase d'expension et le montage d'un ventilateur Kenlow. Un radiateur d'huile a également été adapté. Le freinage a également été amélioré grâce à deux disques à l'avant. Son essai nous a apporté toute satisfaction. Cette XK120 est donc prête à assurer des heures de plaisir à son nouveau propriétaire, mettant à sa disposition la légèreté d'une caisse alu ainsi que les modifications réversibles visant à améliorer l'agrément de conduite. French title Chassis n° S673075 - Very pleasant to drive - Nice restoration - High standard of presentation The Jaguar XK 120 made the headlines when it first appeared at the London Motor Show in 1948. Elegant, racy and powerful, it attracted plenty of looks...and orders ! This roadster XK120 left the factory in April 1954 and was exported to the US. It comes with its Jaguar Heritage certificate. The current owner acquired the car in England at the start of the 1990s, when it was in need of major work. In 1994, the car was sent to a restoration workshop where it was completely restored. This included having the engine rebuilt and the car has covered less than 2000 miles since. Details of the work carried out can be found in the file. Part of this project involved rebuilding the bodywork in aluminium (with the exception of the doors) to reduce the weight. The seats were replaced to provide better support and more recently, the cooling system has been improved through the addition of an expansion tank and a Kenlow fan. An oil cooling system was also adapted. The car has been fitted with front disc brakes, and we were very happy with the test-drive. This XK120 is now ready to provide its new owner with hours of enjoyment, offering a lightweight aluminium body and various reversible modifications to enhanced its driveability.
