The Property of a Lady A fine Victorian gilt bronze and micro-mosaic mounted stationery casket, circa 1870, of rectangular form with canted angles to the hinged cover, the top, front and back each applied with five oval mosaic panels, a further mosaic at each end, depicting Grand Tour views including the Lucano Bridge, the Tivoli Gardens, the Tomb of Caecilia Metella, the Temple of Vesta and the Pyramid Tomb of Caius Cestius, as well as two depicting butterflies, the mosaics all with blue hardstone surrounds and set amongst engraved foliate arabesques and borders, on a conforming rectangular base, the interior with similarly engraved lockplate and with satin lined dividers, the leather faced underside with a paper label inscribed for 'HUNT & ROSKELL, Jewellers and Goldsmiths TO THE QUEEN', 13cm high, 18.5cm wide, 11.5cm deep Condition report disclaimer
