The man wears a large head dress, beaded moccasins, breastplate, and carries a long woven blanket. On the back a previous owner wrote, "David ___ma-pa-ho, Blue Cloud. O-ga-la-la- Sioux." The second image is an 8 x 10.75 silver gelatin image of an American Indian incorrectly identified as Sitting Bull. The silver gelatin image has blue ink-pen markings possibly by the photographer who wanted to hand-color the image. Condition: Damage to the mount of the Bishop photograph with soling on the margins of the verso and toning on the image. The recto has some blue ink pen from a previous owner saying who is in the photograph. The silver gelatin has lightened and has blue ink pen markings on its surface. The back has a pencil inscription identifying the subject as "Sitting Bull."
