Beschreibung:

The Walther MP (Maschinenpistole) started production in 1963, offering two variants, the MPK and the MPL, the K standing for "Kurz" (Short) and the L standing for "Lang" (Long). The Walther MPL was the precursor to the HK MP5. It is made with a distinctively large trigger loop for hefty gloved German hands. The Walther MP series was issued to German police units and received several contracts for countries in South America. This MPL was manufactured by Walther in 1965. "65" stamp followed by an antler stamp are present on the left side of the receiver, indicating production in Ulm, Germany. Eagle over "N" nitro proofs are present on the receiver, upper assembly, and barrel, with Walther acceptance stamps on the receiver and bolt assembly. Barrel is import stamped "INTER AMERICAN SACTO, CA GERMANY". Side folding wire stock, gutter & peep sights, and two piece black plastic serrated grips. Upper assembly, barrel, and bolt assembly, all match with the serial number "13352", while the receiver is serialized "13253". This specimen is complete with a spare upper assembly, spare bolt assembly, spare magazine, and an additional barrel fitted with an Heckler & Koch tri-lug suppressor adapter. PROVENANCE: Copy of original Form 3 from Weapons Curiosa. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their original phosphate finish, showing small scattered scratches to the finish, as well as some small areas of wear from operation and use. Some small arsenal markings are soft, with the remainder being sharp and easily legible. Mirror bore, with well defined lands and grooves throughout. Two piece black plastic grips exhibit some nicks and minor chips from handling. A nice example of a high quality and reliable Walther MPL machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS TRANSFERABLE ONLY TO ACTIVE FFL/SOT DEALERS ON AN ATF FORM 3 BUT MAY BE RETAINED BY SOLE PROPRIETOR FFL/SOT HOLDERS WHEN THEY RELINQUISH THEIR LICENSES UPON BATF APPROVAL. -MLW- Name Value Accessories Two magazines, spare upper, spare bolt Barrel Length 10 - 1/4" Caliber/Bore 9mm Para FFL Status NFA Manufacturer Walther Model MPL Paperwork Copy of Form 3 Sear Serial Number Serial Number 13253
