Beschreibung:

Seldom encountered as fully transferable guns this U.S. M3A1 “Grease Gun” is immediately recognizable as different from the earlier M3 model by the lack of a lever to cock the bolt. Also distinguishable from the left side from the M3 model due to the protective sheet metal “box” around the magazine release designed to prevent inadvertent release of the magazine. On the M3A1, the bolt is cocked by the firer opening the cover over the ejection port and pulling the bolt back using a deep recess in the front of the bolt. If the cover is closed, whether the bolt is cocked, or forward, a catch inside the ejector port cover holds the bolt in place for safety. The cover must be open for the gun to fire, which it does from an open bolt. Flash hider present at muzzle. One lustrous finish original 32-round magazine is included with this gun. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine original smooth grey finish with some light handling marks and loss of finish turning to a pleasing grey patina. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is near excellent, shiny, and bright. The Grease Gun is a highly sought collectible machine gun from the World War II era. It is slow-firing, controllable, and accurate. A very fun gun to shoot, and magazines are readily available at nominal cost. A great gun for the American military machine gun enthusiast. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4.
