Original brick-red morocco over wood bevelled boards, rectangular gold bas-relief 'Hamlet's Dilemma' by Moore mounted on upper side, original stand (spine extremities a touch rubbed, lightly faded).

Original brick-red morocco over wood bevelled boards, rectangular gold bas-relief 'Hamlet's Dilemma' by Moore mounted on upper side, original stand (spine extremities a touch rubbed, lightly faded). A FINE COPY OF THIS RARE MOORE-ILLUSTRATED SHAKESPEARE WITH ITS ORIGINAL STAND . The bas-relief gold on the upper cover is a recasting of the 'Reclining Figure' portion of 'Relief: Three Quarters Mother and Child and Reclining Figure', 1977 (cf. A. Bowness, Henry Moore - Complete Sculpture, Volume 5 1974-1980 , 1983; listed and illustrated as catalogue raisonnée no. 728). Number 250 of 1200 copies, although it is very probable that this limitation is grossly exaggerated. RARE : only two copies recorded at auction (ABPC/AE online).
