So entstand die vorliegende Karte nicht nur - wie angegeben - nach Visscher, sondern hauptsächlich nach den Vorlagen seiner Londoner Kollegen Robert Walton und Thomas Jenner Vorliegend im 2. und letzten Zustand ohne Datierung und mit der neuen Adresse in Newgate (ab 1669). - Abdruck auf starkem Papier mit Wasserzeichen: "RDS" und Lilie über Wappenschild (mit 4 Linien). - Etwas gebräunt und fleckig, Außenränder etwas stärker. Mit tlw. geglätteten Knick- und Knitterfalten, diese mit wenigen Einrissen und Löchlein hinterklebt, ferner kl. Randläsuren sowie 1 Einriss links mittig bis in den Kartenrand. Mainly derived from the maps by Walton and Jenner, the inset map of the polar regions of North American and the decorative border are indeed following the version by Kaerius 1614 resp. Visscher. "The Blaeu improvements referred to are cartographic, but, curiously the Briggs version of California as an island is used and Greenland is omitted. Strangely, New Jersey is named but there is no reference to the English possession of New York." (B.).
