Lot of Six Drawings: British School, 19th Century, Torquato Tasso's House at Sorrento, signed "AC Oake" l.r., titled on the reverse, ink; British School, 19th Century, Looking down the Avon to the Black Rock & Cooks Folly, indistinctly signed l.r., titled on the reverse, graphite; British School, 19th Century, On the River..., unsigned, titled on the reverse, graphite; Attributed to Johann Gottlob Samuel Rosel (German, 1768-1843), Crossing the Bridge in the Valley, identified in an inscription on the mount, wash and graphite; British School, 19th Century, Llangollin, 1825, identified on the mount and in an inscription on the reverse, graphite; and British School, 19th Century, Oak. Kensington Gardens, initialed "a.j.s" l.r., titled l.c., graphite. Sheet sizes to 11 5/8 x 14 7/8 in. (29.4 x 37.5 cm), the first framed. Condition: Subtle toning, puncture with loss to the last. Provenance: A private New England collection.
