Lot of 6. Textile featuring a red image of a map of Germany just prior to the formation of the German Confederation in 1815. German text roughly translates to "Newest post card of Germany and bordering countries." Some large soil spots but text is all readable. Small textile with imagery of the Grenadier Guards highlighting the Ensign, Drum Major, Drummer, Trumpeter, and Horse Artillery. Some soil. Red-rimmed "Empire Welders" handkerchief with Boer War interest. Depicts the South African Republic, the Orange Free State, Natal, and Cape Colony as well as military leaders including Kekwich, Powell, Gatacre, and French. Blue-rimmed alphabet of patriotism handkerchief commemorates the Lancer and Cavalrymen of the Boer War. "A Stands for Army, Fighting the Boers." c1900. Large commemorative textile featuring a winter scene of military personnel and horses and the year 1812. Spotting and some soil.
