Contemporary marbled full brown calf, worn, gilt borders, gilt inner borders, gilt edges of covers, mended in the joints, richly gilt somewhat faded spine in six compartments, slightly damaged spine label, mended at foot, all edges gilt. Some minor marginal staining or spotting, some foxing or browning, about 20 leaves harder. Signature of George Davenport on first endpaper and inscription "This book was given to me by C.L.
