Errata, 144 woodcuts, of which 50 with volvelles, folding table at end and 5 extra loose volvelles. (Tiny marginal hole on title, occasional light soiling and browning to first 10 leaves, a few volvelles with small repairs.) Contemporary limp vellum, manuscript title on spine (spine faded, a few stains and tiny wormholes, hinges broken). Provenance : De Gori Bamilini (book label). FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE, OF THE FIRST MODERN CELESTIAL ATLAS. Gallucci's atlas is the first to make use of Copernicus's catalogue of coordinates, and presents the 48 maps of the Ptolemaic constellations with striking and original constellation figures. In this copy the unsigned leaf showing Cepheus is present, and bound between Mm4 and Nn1. Adams G-168; Mortimer Harvard, Italian 206; Palau 96931; Riccardi I, 568.
