Bernheimer and with the final 9 lines of the poem "Iris by Night" (which appears on pp. 81-82 of this book) WRITTEN OUT AND SIGNED BY FROST on the front free endpaper (and dated 1936). Frost has titled this quotation "Once with E.T.," referring to his friend and fellow poet Edward Thomas; with a punctuation correction by Frost on p. 81; below the inscription is affixed a 3-cent U.S. postage stamp honoring Joseph Pulitzer. Laid in is a copy of the prospectus for the book initialed by Frost: "R.F. to E.B."; the prospectus prints the dedication to his wife, which differs slightly from that in the published book.
