FIRST EDITION, one of an unspecified number of specially bound copies (for presentation?) signed by Eisenhower at the bottom of facsimile of the D-Day Order of the Day, this copy additionally inscribed by Eisenhower on the dedication page: "For - Mildred Hilson - With best wishes for a Merry Christmas from her devoted friend Dwight Eisenhower 1964." [With:] WILLKIE, WENDELL L. One World. New York, 1943. 8vo, original black cloth; quarter morocco slipcase. PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed and signed by Willkie on front flyleaf: "To Mildred S. Hilson When picking a White House Staff How could I but laugh For I get them as pleasing as you without going with the sock Thus greatly pleasing the economy Block. Wendell L. Willkie."
