LIMITED EDITION of 1,426 (this copy number 921), additionally signed and inscribed under the colophon: "For Secretary of the Treasury John Snyder, with best wishes and warn regard from his devoted friend Ike Eisenhower Dec. 1, 1948." A most unusual form of signature in this copy of Eisenhower's war memoir, with the signed facsimile of the D-Day order intact: "Soldiers, sailors and airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force! You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade...The eyes of the world are upon you...."
