Contemporary green morocco gilt, covers with triple fillet border and floral cornerpieces, spines in six comaprtments with floral tools, red morocco lettering-pieces in two, g.e. (lower edges of vol. III), portrait of the author by Cathelin after La Tour, 57 engraved plates by Patas, Deny, Dambrun, Baquoy and others after C. Monnet, J. M. Moreau, P.-C. Marillier and Martini, including two frontispieces, engraved headpieces throughout. (Occasional very light spotting.) Contemporary mottled calf gilt, spines in six compartments with floral, bird and ship tools, red morocco lettering-piece and black morocco shield with volume number onlaid (corners slightly rubbed).
