Durch das leichte Lächeln wirkt sein Antlitz abgeklärt, die stilisierten Locken auf Haupt und Ushnisha haben Schneckenform, die Ohrläppchen sind stark gelängt. Auf Holzsockel montiert.

Chiang Saen Buddha head
Thailand, Chiang Saen 14th -16th C. Bronze, dark patinated. Buddha's head with bowed eyes under clearly curved eyebrows. The slight smile gives his face a serene appearance, the stylised curls on the head and on the ushnisha are snail-shaped, the earlobes are elongated. Mounted on a wooden base.
H (including base) 24, W 11 cm.
