The hidden depths in its velvet folds of flavour are a revelation, with the extraordinary Cohiba notes leading to a spicy, constantly intriguing taste. With age, Haut-Brion simply melts in the mouth, while in youth it is delicious before the other Firsts emerge from the chrysalis. This is the classiest, finest-textured wine from Pessac-Leognan, with its unique, almost "peaty" flavours. Serena Sutcliffe, MW Quantity: 1
