Colt Government Model 1911A1 semi automatic pistol. Frame made 1919, with the slide looking to have been made later and being commercial. Left side of the frame is marked "COLT'S MFG CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.", while the right side is marked "GOVERNMENT/MODEL COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBER .45". Blade front sight and U-notch rear. Parkerized finish on all the metal components. World War 2 correct plastic checkered grips. Includes 1 unmarked military magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its reapplied finish with some wear and handling marks. Grips are excellent. Bore is frosted with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light wear and handling marks.
