Colt Government Model 1911A1 Commercial semi-automatic pistol. Made 1927. Right side of the slide is marked "COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE.45" next to a rampant Colt pony. Left side is marked with the standard 2-line company address/patent dates. Right side of the frame is marked "GOVERNMENT MODEL/C151203". "VP" proofs on the left side of the trigger guard. Half-moon front sigh and U-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Checkered hammer and trigger. Checkered wood grips. Original 2-tone blued steel magazine marked "COLT/45 AUTO" on the bottom. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with general wear and handling marks. Grips are excellent. Bore has some light frosting, but rifling is strong. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light finish wear.
