Original liliac cloth with spine in leather, gilt title on cover, worn and soiled. Carl Johan Billmark (1804-70), Swedish landscape painter, artist, lithographer. He left Sweden in 1833 and lived in Paris where he studied under Deroy. Billmark travelled to Germany, Italy, Switzerland and later published studies in this famous work, "A Journey from Stockholm to Naples".
