The volume describes and illustrates the coronation ceremony of ELEONORA MAGDALENA THERESIA (1655-1720) of the Palatinate, third wife of Leopold I (1640-1705), as empress and the coronation of their son JOSEPH (1678-1711), as Roman king. The fine large frontispiece depicts the portraits of the Imperial family and the electors over the panorama of Augsburg. The other finely excecuted plates include: medals, the electoral college, the coronation and the banquet, processions, and popular entertainment. The title runs over two pages.
