CORRECTED PAGE PROOFS for the offprint of one of Ampre's articles on electrodynamics, with his proof-reading corrections and textual emendations on 26 of the 48 pages (including the title). At the foot of page 17 is the note "Bon tirer aprs les corrections. A. Ampre". Ampre's corrections and emendations include notes concerning the correct printing of mathematical symbols, corrected misspellings (including the misspelling of Gherardi's name on the title-page, with the note "see the copy that I gave you, in which the name is written as it should be"), inserted phrases, deleted paragraphs, and at the end of the paper, revised equations. A long (3-page) passage that was subsequently inserted at the end of the paper, preceding the letter to Gherardi, was apparently submitted separately at a slightly later date: six lines of text initially added by Ampre at the bottom of p. 38 have been crossed out and the numbering of the following pages (from 39 on) are changed in manuscript to reflect the interpolation of three pages.
