A REGENCE ORMOLU-MOUNTED OYSTER-VENEERED KINGWOOD COMMODE by François Lieutaud with later rosso antico moulded bowed rectangular top above two long walnut-lined drawers elaborately mounted with bacchanalian heads flanked by reeded ormolu panels simulating four short drawers with female mask escutcheons between rounded angles, the sides similarly panelled with a central lozenge with floral rosette, above confronting acanthus-enriched shaped apron, on cabriole legs with foliate-cast scroll sabots, stamped seven times FL, very extensive restorations, partially re-mounted, the back legs, reverse and half of the carcase replaced 50¾in. (129cm.) wide; 33¼in. (84.5cm.) high; 24½in. (62cm.) deep
