"Galle sonder Galle", 2 brass clasps and catches, folio. - Engr. title remargined in outer margin (new paper sl. overlapping w. engr. area) and w. old crossed-out owner's entry; partly waterstained in outer/ lower blank margin; one leaf blank corner repaired. Rebound w. use of greater part of orig leather over covers; lacks clasps. = Illustrated Moerentorf-bible, the Old Testament containing woodcuts after H.S. BEHAM and 1 woodcut (the very first) by P. VAN DER BORCHT; the New Testament woodcuts are by an unknown artist. Poortman I, p.129f, calling for two variants of the 1599 bible, one w. the address of Moerentorf alone, the other w. that of Moerentorf and of Van Keerberghen and containing the woodcut by Van der Borcht; our copy contains the engr. title w. the address of Moerentorf alone, but also the woodcut by Van der Borcht.
