Beschreibung:

1980 ASTON MARTIN V8 VOLANTE Chassis No. V8COL 15029 Engine No. V/540/5029/CFA Brown with beige leather interior and brown piping Engine: V8, 5,340cc, four Weber carburetors, 300bhp; Gearbox: three speed automatic; Suspension: front, upper/lower control arms, coil springs, rear, De Dion axle, trailing arms and coil springs; Brakes: front and rear disc. Left hand drive. Aston Martin remains one of those rare marques whose quality has been maintained without compromise throughout its entire history. Following a temporary closure and sucessful rescue operation owed predominantly to the dedication of the staff and the tremendous esteem in which enthusiasts throughout the world hold the firm, Aston Martin launched their new V8 convertible, the Volante. In August 1973 the new Aston Martin V8 was unveiled with four twin-choke 42 DCNF Weber carburetors replacing the previously used Bosch fuel injection. Not only did these legendary Italian carburetors improve the performance with extra torque, but they were good enough to get the car through U.S. emission regulations. In fact in its 1982 roadtest 'Road & Track' described the V8 Volante as follows: "out on the open road the car is responsive, endowed as it is with nearly 5.5 liters of exotic engine." . The V8 Volante has to be one of the most elegant open-topped cars of its time. With its traditional clean cut line, it exudes the sheer elegance and quality of a hand built machine. The Volante offers the very best of British craftsmanship and the powerfulness of design that has been the hallmark of Aston Martin. The Volante offered here has been in its current ownership for 10 years and has only covered 36,701 miles, with a full service history from reputable dealers.
