Beschreibung:

With the Interceptor's introduction in 1967 Jensen switched from glassfibre to steel for its car bodies. With around 280bhp on tap, performance was breathtaking, Motor recording a top speed of 140mph with 100mph arriving in 19 seconds. The Series II incorporated revised front suspension, Girling brakes and a re-designed interior while the Series III - introduced in 1971 - came with a 7.2-litre (330bhp) engine, improved seats, central locking and alloy wheels. Restored in the 1990s, this automatic-transmission example benefits from close to £6,000 spent by the present owner over the past 18 months, including a complete engine rebuild undertaken in July 2003 by Five Oaks Garages of Chigwell, Essex. The work involved a re-bore and crankshaft re-grind, while new parts fitted include pistons/rings, crankshaft bearings, camshaft, valves, spring retainers, rocker gear, timing chains, carburettor, distributor cap and ignition leads. The wheels have been refurbished to original specification and new whitewall tyres fitted. Finished in Indigo Blue with black leather upholstery and new Wilton carpeting, the car is presented in generally very good condition, though the vendor advises us that the air conditioning has not been recharged or reconnected since the engine rebuild. The vehicle is offered with sundry invoices, Jensen Motors Statement of Origin, copy production card, road fund licence to June 2004, MoT to November 2004 and Swansea V5.
