1854 Lithograph Issue Singapore Covers 1856 (23 Aug.) entire to Canton, marked "p Lancefield", bearing 1a. red Die I pair with large margins on three sides, just into at right, clearly tied by "B/172" obliterator, showing handstruck "4" applied in Hong Kong to indicate onward payment to Canton and, on reverse, "singapore/p.o." double-ring datestamp in red and Hong Kong transit c.d.s. (12.9); one adhesive crossed by light filing crease. A rare and attractive franking. Association of Singapore Philatelists Certificate (2013).
