WASHINGTON, GEORGE and THOMAS JEFFERSON Presidents. Printed document signed by both ("G. Washington" as President, "Th:Jefferson" as Secretary of State), accomplished at Norfolk, Virginia, 13 June 1794. One page, folio, large papered seal of the United States, edges lightly age-browned, short clean tears at two old folds, cancellation slits crossing (but not seriously affecting) both signatures, accomplished in manuscript, countersigned by William Lindsay, three-language ship's papers (French, English, Dutch) for the vessel Mary, captained by James Buchanan sailing from Norfolk to France "laden with Flour." Verso with notary's signed attestation that Capt. Buchanan has "made oath that no Subjects of the present Belligerent powers have any part or portion of the said ship...."
