Vimercato (Giovanni Battista Dialogo degli Horologi Solari, woodcut printer’s device on title and colophon, historiated initials, several woodcut astronomical diagrams in text and 3 large plates (2 folding), bound after K and at rear, one torn with major loss, the others repaired at folds, lacking L1-4 as issued, occasional spotting and dust soiling, little staining and light browning to a few leaves, ex libris of Pietro Rimondo and other erased signatures to title, contemporary limp vellum, faint inscription to rear cover, repaired, joints cracked, wormholed, soiled, and lightly water stained, [IT\ICCU\ANAE\002828; Harvard Italian 54, note); Houzeau & Lancaster 11367; Riccardi II, 602; not in Adams], 4to, Gabriel Giolito de' Ferrari, Venice, 1567. *** Treatise on sundial construction, originally published in 1565 by Valente Panizza in Ferrara, and then by Giolito without the author's permission. This is a reissue of the 1565 Giolito edition.
