Two embroidered deep blue satin skirts with dragons, representing the masculine order of the Emperor, and Fenghuangs, or phoenixes, symbolizing the feminine order of the Empress. On one skirt, one of the dragons is framed by a frieze-like stripe with a cream background. On the other skirt, one of the dragons is framed by a frieze-like stripe with a black background. Ht: 34 in. (largest). Provenance: Property of the Zanesville Museum of Art, Zanesville, OH. Sold to Benefit the Acquisition Fund.
