Title: Living My Life Author: Goldman, Emma Place: New York Publisher: Alfred A.. Knopf Date: 1931 Description: 2 volumes. Cloth. First Edition. First inscribed and signed by Goldman to Frances Steloff on the front free endpaper of Vol. I, dated New York, March 1934. That volume also has Goldman's bookplate, as well as that of Steloff. Steloff was, of course, the owner of Gotham Book Mart in New York City - she often placed a box near her shop's check-out counter for food donations for Henry Miller and apparently she gave him this copy of Goldman's autobiography. Miller had met Goldman when he was about 20, and he was greatly influenced by the anarchist/feminist. From the personal library of Henry Miller Lot Amendments Condition: Jacket missing the spine strip (a portion is laid into the volume), other wear; volume spines faded, extremity wear, shaken, hinges cracking; good overall. Item number: 175097
