Height overall 19 1/2 inches, height of shade 4 1/4 inches, diameter of shade 8 inches. Provenance: Minna Rosenblatt Gallery, New York City, March 2, 1976. C
Shade: appears to be in generally good condition: no apparent hairline cracks, chips, scratches, etc.; no apparent internally trapped air bubbles or burst bubbles on the surface; the fitter rim appears to be in generally good condition, i.e., no chips, no shallow flake losses, etc.; the shade has nice iridescence and highlights on the exterior side, including gold to orange to deep pink, back to gold, etc. Base: there is uniform dulling and soiling to the patina, consistent with age and usage; lamp has to be wired for use (currently there is no cord); appears to retain its three original ball screws; the metal on/off switch appears to be a later replacement; the metal light socket casing is missing two of its small screws and others have been replaced; lamp could not be tested to see if it is in good working condition (it is not wired); the lamp sits nice and straight, i.e., there is no bend or lean to the harp frame or base.
