ONE MARK OF SAUNDERS AND SHEPHERD, BIRMINGHAM, 1898, ONE MARK OF CHARLES JAMES FOX, LONDON, 1899 AND ONE MARK OF CRISFORD & NORRIS, BIRMINGHAM, 1901
THREE SILVER-MOUNTED IVORY PAPER KNIVES ONE MARK OF SAUNDERS AND SHEPHERD, BIRMINGHAM, 1898, ONE MARK OF CHARLES JAMES FOX, LONDON, 1899 AND ONE MARK OF CRISFORD & NORRIS, BIRMINGHAM, 1901 The first with tusk handle, the third with silver tusk-shaped handle; also a 9 carat gold-capped malacca cane, Sheffield, 1911, with horn tip, inscribed R.W.P. FROM A.B.F., JULY 27, 1922 and engraved with a crest of a pelican in her piety, charged with a fleur-de-lys; and a Chinese Export gold-capped ivory cane engraved to top with monogram, mark of Kwong Man Shing of Hong Kong, circa 1900 IMPORTANT NOTICE ON LOTS CONTAINING IVORY: The USA has recently changed its policy on the import of property containing elephant ivory. Only Asian Elephant ivory may be imported into the USA, and imports must be accompanied by DNA analysis and confirmation the object is more than 100 years old. Buyers will be responsible for the costs of obtaining any DNA analysis or other report required in connection with their proposed import into the USA. A buyer’s inability to export or import a lot is not a basis for cancelling their purchase. Longest cane 35 ¾ in. long (91 cm.)
