(Capital of a column of the temple of Juno), Ficacci 374; After William Curtis (British, 1746-1799), No. 119. Bird of Paradise Blossom, inscribed "Pub. as the Act directs, May 1, 1790, by W. Curtis, St. George's Crescent" within the plate l.l., with hand-coloring; British School, 18th/19th Century, Botanical Illustration, possibly from Curtis's Botanical Magazine, inscribed "Swan Sc" l.r. and numbered "2812" u.r., both within the plate, with hand-coloring. Condition: Piranesi with creasing, rippling, scattered foxing; Bird of Paradise with vertical creases, handling creases, toning; Botanical with vertical creases, handling creases, pale foxing; not examined out of frames.
