With the small leather booklabel of Peter Murray Hill on front pastedown. Lot Amendments Condition: Covers worn, front detached; some aging and soiling within, frontispiece of the Lock with verso soiled, some darkening; final work lacking first leaf (half-title?), also last five leaves badly chipped with considerable loss, additional leaves at end apparently lacking; however, The Rape of the Lock is quite a nice example of the rare first separate, and first expanded, edition.
